Pflugerville and Round Rock schools monitor Swine Flu

Share |

Round Rock ISD and Pflugerville ISD are watching the progress of the Swine Flu outbreak and urging students to take caution and recognize the symptoms. Swine flu symptoms are similar to the regular flu and include fever, fatigue, dizziness, coughing and nausea.

Campus nurses at Round Rock schools are being asked to report any increase in illnesses to Round Rock ISD central administration. On its website, the Pflugerville school district asks campuses to make hand sanitizer and tissues readily available in high traffic areas. Both districts are reminding students and staff to frequently wash their hands to minimize the chance of contracting the virus. There have been no reports of Swine Flu in Round Rock or Pflugerville.
