St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center awards Brian DeDecker Memorial Scholarships

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center volunteers announced the recipients of the annual Brian DeDecker Memorial Scholarships on May 4. Scholarship funds totaled $19,500 and were awarded to 20 recipients.

Established in honor of Dr. Brian DeDecker, the scholarships are awarded each year on the basis of merit and financial need to students pursuing degrees in a human health-related field. Scholarships were awarded in the amount of $1,000 per recipient and one vocational award of $500 to a recipient pursuing a certification.

Recipients may apply the scholarship money toward tuition, fees and books for the 2009 to 2010 school year.

St. David’s employees and volunteers, as well as Williamson County graduating high school seniors, were eligible to apply. This year’s scholarship recipients include:
