Round Rock organization's raffle to benefit Children of Fallen Soldiers

The Round Rock nonprofit group Women Impacting the Nation is sponsoring an initiative this month to raise $25,000 for the Children of Fallen Soldiers, an organization that helps pay college tuition for students with parents who have been killed in military combat. So far, fifteen children from Fort Hood have been identified by Congressman John Carter as having lost a parent in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars.

WIN hopes to sell 2,500 raffle tickets for $10 each in the days leading up to the Waterstone Development/Round Rock Express Freedom Fest on July 4 at the Dell Diamond. Winners will be announced at a drawing at the concert, which features performances by Jerry Jeff Walker and Kellie Pickler. Participants do not need to be present to win.

Two tickets to Grease on Oct. 14-18 at the Long Center, plus dinner for two at Carrabba’s

Two front row/VIP meet and greet passes to Pete Sampras & Todd Martin Tennis Tournament on Nov. 8
Two tickets to a Dallas Stars hockey game and an autographed jersey
