Rep. Maldonado opens new district office in Round Rock

State Rep. Diana Maldonado (D–Round Rock) cut the ribbon at a ceremony celebrating the opening of her new district office in Round Rock July 9, joined by representatives from the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Maldonado's district office is located at 1901 E. Palm Valley Blvd., at the intersection of Hwy. 79 and A.W. Grimes Boulevard in Round Rock.

Maldonado said she will use the office as a headquarters for meeting with her constituents from House District 52, which covers east Williamson County, including Round Rock, Taylor, Hutto, Thrall, Coupland and parts of Georgetown and Austin. At the ceremony, she announced plans to travel to communities throughout the area between now and the next legislative session in 2011.

Maldonado, who served as president of the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees from 2003 to 2008, sits on the House Committee on State Affairs and the Committee on Defense and Veterans' Affairs. She is serving her first term in the Texas House of Representatives.
