September’s corridor highlights new residential and commercial developments off William Cannon Drive and Manchaca Road.

— Austin Fire Department Station 20 is located at 6601 Manchaca Road.It opened Jan. 23, 1974, and serves the surrounding area with four firefighters. Call 974-0130.

— Garrison Park is located at 6001 Manchaca Road. The 40-acre park has baseball fields, softball fields, a swimming pool, trail, basketball courts, playground, picnic tables and barbecue grills. Call 974-6700.

— Cunningham Elementary School is an Austin ISD school located at 2200 Berkley Ave. It was built in 1962 and houses 550 students in grades pre-K through fifth. Call 414-2067.

— Eden Park Academy is a free, open-enrollment charter school with 171 students attending. It receives the same state funding and has the same accountability as other public schools but is not part of Austin ISD. Visit www.edenparkacademy.com or call 383-0613.

— Westgate Lanes is a 40-lane bowling alley located at 2701 W. William Cannon Drive. It has equipment rental, a sports bar, Chief’s BBQ, arcade room, space for birthday parties, league play and a 75-person capacity conference room. Hours are Sunday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Call 441-2695.

— Grocery store chain Sunflower Farmers Market plans to open in the former Hobby Lobby location on the corner of William Cannon Drive and Manchaca Road. — The former Albertsons building at 6800 West Gate Blvd. has been leased to Marketplace Austin. The 57,000 sq. ft. neighborhood shopping center will contain a mixture of clothing and food retailers. Visit www.marketplaceaustin.com.
