Grand Opening of the Joseph and Susanna Dickinson Hannig Museum

The grand opening of the Joseph and Susanna Dickinson Hannig Museum will be held on March 2, Texas Independence Day, from 10 a.m. to noon at the museum, located at 411 E. Fifth St. The museum will feature stories of the women and children survivors of the Battle of the Alamo in an exhibition that will include never-before-seen items from private collections, in particular from the Esparza family, whose ancestors played a pivotal role on both sides of the Texas Revolution.

This week, Austin morning radio show, Mix 94.7 with JB and Sandy, kicked off the 13th Annual Bikes for Kids program. It aims to give underprivileged and under-deserved children in the Austin area the opportunity to get a brand-new Trek bike for the holidays, as well as bike helmets and other bike accessories.

Tiff's Treats grand opening at 3201 Bee Caves Road on Saturday, Nov. 14 raised $7,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation to make a child's wish come true. The money raised will be used to send Make-a-Wish child Christian and his family to Disney World.
Lamb's raises $75,000 for Operation Call Home; still taking donations
